The Journeys ... The last trips

Living in Switzerland, attending classes and making money, I had to get get away on a regular basis.

My friend Bruno decided that he wanted to give my way of traveling a go and we started looking at potential destinations. In the end we had to decide between Madagascar and Kenya. I don't remember what eventually swung it Kenya's way - probably the desire to see the motherland of humankind.

The first one and a half weeks I spend alone, heading up to Lake Naivasha, camping and hiking. After that I headed all the way to Mombasa to pick up Bruno. After a failed attempt on spending Christmas on the coast (booked out or too expensive), we headed back north and went to Lake Baringo to spend New Years Eve there.

Hitchhiking and using Matatus, we made our way around Kakamega Rainforest and Kisumu - eventually ending up in Nairobi again from where I had to catch my flight back

Kenya was an interesting and sometimes difficult experience. One that challenged me to go back one day for a year long trip - exploring as much as I possibly can. The day will come.
