The Journeys ... The last trips

On the last part of my Around The World (RTW) trip, I fell in love. So once back in Switzerland the goal was clear: make money and go to New York City. One year and a few short trips to the Big Apple later it eventually was time to leave Switzerland again.

New York is in my opinion the best city in the world - and I've seen a few. It just feels like a world trip every time you venture out in to one of the borrows.

But we didn't only stay in New York. During winter we went on a cross country trip to visit Erika's family in California. Once in San Francisco, we exchanged the Jeep with bicycles and cycled down the coast to Santa Maria where we spend New Years Eve. Then we headed east again by car. What took us 4 days going west, took us a couple of months going east - with several stops visiting family and friends along the way.

Back in New York, we did several mountain biking and skiing trips around the greater NY area and Vermont. I also headed to Pennsylvania for a river rafting trip.

Unfortunately, the USA is an expensive place to live - especially NYC. After a year the money came to an end and not wanting to do anything illegal, I reluctantly had to leave and head back to Switzerland. But I'll be back….
